Rebuilding Hope: Our Mission to Revitalize Education in Somalia

The educational system of Somalia was completely destroyed after the collapse of the Somali central government in 1991.DAWA believes that promoting education is one of the most important means to overcome and fight ignorance and poverty. With this in mind, the DAWA continues to strive in renovating, building, and operating in old and new schools, cultural centers and institutions. Because of our work, tens of thousands of children are able to attend schools in various regions of Somalia.

DAWA supervises and operates more than a dozen schools in all regions of Somalia. Thousands of students have graduated from secondary schools. Most students pay a nominal monthly fee to cover some expenses. DAWA and individual donor contributions pay the fees of children from low-income families and orphans. Get involved today and help us to continue providing education. Help us make a better future for thousands of children in Somalia.
